TRANSLATORS Guide

Note: The standalone TRANSLATORS module has been removed. The functionality for editing MOVES input tables is now integrated into the NEW ORDER page through the ADAPT API and MY TABLES features.

What Changed?

The basic functions of TRANSLATORS are now performed by:

  1. ADAPT API Integration (in NEW ORDER):

    • Download MOVES input tables directly from the ADAPT API
    • Tables are automatically prepared for your selected county and year
    • See Creating Orders for details
  2. MY TABLES (in NEW ORDER):

    • View, edit, save, and manage MOVES input tables
    • Edit tables inline using an editable DataTable
    • Save tables to your CAT account (Firestore)
    • Load previously saved tables
    • See Creating Orders for details

How to Edit MOVES Input Tables Now

Step 1: Navigate to NEW ORDER

  1. Click "NEW ORDER" in the sidebar (CLOUD MOVES section)
  2. Select your geographic area and year

Step 2: Download Tables from ADAPT API

  1. Click the "CUSTOMIZE" button
  2. In the "Customize Your Order" card, download the MOVES input tables you want to edit
  3. Tables are automatically saved as drafts

Step 3: Edit Tables in MY TABLES

  1. Click the "MY TABLES" button
  2. Select a table from the dropdown
  3. The table will appear in an editable DataTable
  4. Click on any cell to edit its value
  5. Press Enter or click elsewhere to save the change

Step 4: Save Your Tables

  1. After editing, click the "SAVE" button
  2. Enter a name for the table
  3. The table will be saved to your CAT account (Firestore)
  4. You can load it later for use in future orders

Step 5: Use in Orders

  1. Select your edited tables in "SELECT TABLES FOR MY ORDER"
  2. Submit your order with the customized tables

What You Can Still Do

All the functionality from the old TRANSLATORS module is available in NEW ORDER:

  • ✅ View MOVES input tables
  • ✅ Edit table values inline
  • ✅ Save tables to your account
  • ✅ Load previously saved tables
  • ✅ Download tables as CSV files
  • ✅ Delete tables you no longer need
  • ✅ Use edited tables in orders

  2. ADAPT API Integration: Get pre-configured tables for your county and year
  3. Better Organization: Tables are organized by geoid and year
  4. Easier Management: All table management in one place (NEW ORDER)

  2. Use "CUSTOMIZE" to download tables from ADAPT API
  3. Use "MY TABLES" to edit and manage tables
